Answers:
Did they change any of your blood pressure medications in the last 6 months, if you are on any.? Some of the meds for high blood pressure a side effect is a cough.

Because you has asthma, and its winter, you made need an adjustment on your asthma medication if you are on any. If your asthma is keeping you from exercising, the Dr. should be able to have you do an Albuterol Inhaler before you exercise. I would talk to a Pharmacist and also mention it to your Dr. Write it on your hand or some place so you will remember to ask the Dr. but 6 months is a long time, I think I would get it taken care of. Good Luck!

There is a cough syrup called Delsym, which is a 12 hour cough suppressant. I would check with your Pharmacist to make sure there are no interactions. You might try calling your Dr. and see if they can call anything for you, but they will probably want to see you first. You have to be very careful with your high blood pressure, so before you buy anthing, talk to your Pharmast.Health Question & Answer

Well, you know your asthma, so I assume you've ruled this out as the cause.

My son had a cold with a cough that wouldn't go away, he had the cough for two months, he kept running a fever at night but he didn't actually seem ill, we took him to the doctor who said he was ok, it was just a cold. Then one day he felt really ill and his temp went right up so we went to ER and by the time they saw him, he felt better and was running around so they said he was ok and looked at me like I was some Munchausen-Mommy, but I knew he wasn't, so I took him to his pediatrician at a different hospital and she did a chest x-ray which showed he had a partially collapsed lung. He had six weeks of intensive antibiotics and it cleared up.

Point being, it could actually be serious even though the symptoms are just a cough. Best to get it checked.Health Question & Answer

Ok. It could be your asthma. If you're around something in your environment that triggers your asthma but only mildly the only symptom could be a cough. Is your house dusty.? Do you breathe fumes at work or inhale smoke from a bonfire.? I'm just trying to give you some ideas you could look at.
God bless.Health Question & Answer

A persistent cough usually is bronchitis, or pneumonia. What are the other sysmptoms.? Hard to say with what little you wrote. Are you a smoker.? Do you have headaches.? Do you have fever.? History of Allergies.? Etc. Etc.Health Question & Answer
