This can't be happening to us?!

Question: This can't be happening to us.?
My boyfriend has been coughing up blood for over a month now.

He went to the hospital a while ago and he was diagnosed with bronchial pneumonia, and his mother and I are insisting that it's pleurisy,

But that's what scares me the most, because one of the possible causes of Pleurisy, is lung cancer, which is scaring me shitless.

A lot of people around me have had or have been affected by cancer .
And alot of people in my boyfriends family have had or have been affected by cancer.

My Grandmother - Died When my dad was 15 (1963)
My Grandfather - Died when I was 3 (1994)
My Great Uncle - Died when I was 10 (2001)
My Great Uncles Daughter - Has breast Cancer.
My Cousin Shirley - Has Cancer. (Not sure what kind)
My Sisters Dad - Died when I was 12 (2003)
My Uncle - Died when I was 15 (2006)
My Uncle - Diagnosed Last Year.

It's scary, I can't even begin to think of losing another person I love to cancer.

In situations like this, I usually turn to my faith, but I don't know what to do anymore, just thinking about it has me in tears.

I can't take this anymore :(Health Question & Answer

My heart goes out to you sweetheart. Its only natural for you to think and worry over cancer as a possibility and I know its a lot easier for us to just say "dont stress" but thats the best advise really. You need to take things one step at a time and not jump to conclusions. I know cancer is a terrible thing and its worse for you haivnd lost so many people to it but you cant beat yourself up over it.

You need to think positive and just wait for the doctors to run tests and see what comes up. Your boyfriend needs you to be strong and look after him and stressing so much will make you ill too.

I wish you and your boyfriend all the very bestHealth Question & Answer

So you and his mother have diagnosed him.? If the Dr. says it's pneumonia, then that's what it is. Your family's history has absolutely nothing to do with his. I've had pleurisy twice and I never coughed up blood with it, just had pain upon exhaling. Please don't diagnose people, that's what doctors are for.Health Question & Answer

I would relax and let the bronchial pneumonia take it's course before getting upset about cancer. I realize that you've had a traumatic history with cancer, but it could really just be the first diagnosis, and you'd have done all this stressing for nothing. Stressing hard isn't good for YOUR body either.Health Question & Answer

So the medical professionals at a hospital think it's bronchial pneumonia, but you and your mother are sure it's pleurisy.? Why did you let him go to a hospital that apparently knows less about medical conditions than you and your mother do.?Health Question & Answer

dont stress yourselfHealth Question & Answer

My condolences. However, your family history obviously has nothing to do with your boyfriend. Only HIS family history is relevant to him.

Pleurisy can and does include coughing up blood. It can also include agonizing pain in the chest. But that is to be expected. The bronchial tubes and the lungs are inflamed and anything that touches them cause a burning feeling. Even when you cough.

Unless your boyfriend has a history of smoking like a chimney (2 packs or more per day) AND unless a scan has shown that there is cancer in his lungs, you should not be worried.

If however, you and his mother still want peace of mind, ask him to see a 2nd doctor for a 2nd opinion.

Please do not dump your fears on your boyfriend right now. He doesn't need you stressing over him and the thought that he MIGHT have cancer.

Rely on your faith. Remember that the Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God can't protect you. Be strong in your faith. Give it to the Lord. For isn't it really in His hands anyway.?

I have brain cancer.Health Question & Answer

You poor thing. What I would do in your case is to grab some oregano (like what you have in your kitchen to sprinkle on pizza.? - yah That one! I would boil some water WITH NO BLEACH/CHLORINE in it << that stuff kills ya, just like it kills any living organism. Stop bathing in it too, it lowers your immunity (don't soak in it), and do not drink chlorinated water. Anyway, as I was saying, what I would do is boil some water, let it cool down for about 4-5 minutes, drop in 3 heaping tablespoons of oregano (don't use the fresh one, it needs to be dried with the oils ready to be released), Stir and start over if the water itself turns brown (you have cooked the oregano start over please, of course the leaves are brownish, we are talking about the water itself), so as soon as you put it in and stir it, INHALE as much of the steam as possible (don't burn yourself), it is so it can release the oils into the vapor that you will be inhaling until the steam is finished!!) Oregano kills virus, bacteria, fungi.

When you are finished try to inhale some warm salty water into your nose (ocean water is the best). What this does is loosen the mucus in your sinus and dries it up - very important because you DO NOT want that to be draining into your system continually reinfecting you << and what is sad is that most of the time people don't realize their sinus is the problem with these sorts of things in the first place.

I would do this for a couple days well :D Good luck and tell your friends...it is how I have kept the flu/cold away for the past 8 years!Health Question & Answer
