Does everyone that panics with panic disorder have spikes in their bp then back to normal when they are calm?!

Question: Does everyone that panics with panic disorder have spikes in their bp then back to normal when they are calm.?
This is what happens to me. I have heard these spikes are not harmful in any way, as long as bp returns to normal readings. It is very hard for people with panic disorder to get good readings as appts. are very difficult for many. There needs to be way more understanding of this disorder. A Shrink .? For What.? I do not feel with panic disorder we need a shrink, as we are not mental emergencies, the meds. made me sicker, I had many er visits and the cost was enormous. Health Question & Answer

As a panic attack sufferer, myself, I think it is very natural for your blood pressure to increase when your body is experiencing high levels of stress. When you feel an attack coming on, you need to take your "backup" meds right away (i.e. valium, xannax, etc.) and then work on some meditation techniques or yoga to help calm your body (or do whatever it is that helps to calm you down.) By learning to control the outcome of your attacks, you can limit your visits to the ER. Health Question & Answer

Get an evaluation and checkup by a good doctor. I had panic attacks and my bp did just that. Thing is I found out after more than 25 years I had sleep apnea. I fought with docs over meds that made me feel worse and in fact since most are sedating by nature, they aggravate sleep apnea.Health Question & Answer

I have panic attacks and my BP goes up and back down as well.

I am on topamax (which has helped me greatly with weightloss, panic, and mood), Wellbutrin, and Valium when I need it.

None of them make me sick.. except for when I forget the Wellbutrin. Health Question & Answer
