I went to the doctor because I've had a persist rash on my arms and it slowly spread down both of my arms. It turned circular once it started down my arms. I had it for about 2 months before I finally went to the doctor. She said right away that it looks like ringworm. OK, if I had ringworm and I hear its HIGHly contagious, wouldn't my kids and husband have it too since I went without medical help so long.? I don't have any pets, I don't go out too much. Doctors often give the most common and easily-treatable diagnosis. Use the medication. If it doesn't help, go back and demand some testing. Ringworm can be diagnosed (or ruled out) through a simple skin scraping.
The only other things I can think of are tick-related diseases (like lyme, but it doesn't really sound like that).

When ringworm for 30 minutes before washing head to rub the head chamomile tea (0,5 st. Liters. Chamomile petals on a steep 1 cup boiled water and insist 20 minutes).
When infecting ringworm (from cats and dogs) should be 1-2 times a day, rub affected places thick mixture of hot yellow sulfur and wood (inferior olive) oil. Lubricated place does not wash, repeat the process until it disappears leaving.
