My friend, it isn't your job to clean up blood. In fact, it's hazardous human waste and there's certain protocols that even janitors must follow when cleaning it up. So the fault isn't yours...it belongs to the person who left the blood there in the first place - that's just gross.

If the blood was wet, the paper won't act as a barrier to certain germs and oogies. That's the bad part.

The good part is that most germs and oogies can't survive outside of the body for more than two seconds. Granted, the best protection is to find another toilet. But when you simply cannot wait...as the saying goes, when you gotta go, you gotta go.

You can't get AIDS from blood on a toilet seat. But you can get other conditions. You should check with your doctor just to be on the safe side, and also report to your supervisor what happened, when, and how you feel about it.

Your work place should always offer you a clean, safe place to do your personal "business". :)Health Question & Answer

Not to worry. If there was blood on the toilet seat and if it was consumed with AIDS, then rest assured that typically, the AIDS virus dies within seconds of hitting the air, so relax. If you are still concerned, call up an advice nurse, but I believe you will be alright.Health Question & Answer

No, you definitely can't. Why are you so sure that that blood is tainted with AIDS.? I can almost assure you that it's not, and unless you have large, open sores on your butt cheeks, you're in no danger of contracting AIDS... from a toilet seat. Health Question & Answer

Why would you sit in blood.? You should have cleaned it off. No, you can't get AID's that way and no I don't believe this is true.Health Question & Answer

aids is not airborn, if the blood was dry, your safe.
Why not simply clean the blood up before you sit.?Health Question & Answer
