Question: I am 22 and having severe chest pains and my doctor isn't there tonight....?
I am 22 years old and yesterday I was having severe headaches and the pain was on the side of my head and both sides hurting so badly. And this morning I wake up and the heaches are there and I had to close all my blinds because it seemed I was sensitive to light, it was making my head hurt even more.And than all day today, I have been having severe chest pains, it's like between my breasts, kind of hard to describe, it's not a pain in the breast..but it's definetely the chest..and I felt my whole chest tightning it seems. I called the doc's office but he's not in tonight. I have never felt this way before. I'm really scared actually. What can it be and what should I do .?Health Question & Answer

If I were you I would head straight to your local emergency room. Your headache sounds a lot like a migraine which can be very painful, but something like excedrin migraine should help that a bit and resting will help as well.
As far as the chest pains go... anything involving pains in your chest should not be taken lightly or left alone for the next day. I know going to the ER may sound a bit extreme but I think it's in your best interest just in case the pains are in fact something relatively serious.

Sounds like an anxiety or panic attack.Chest pain is nothing to mess around with.Have someone take you to the ER.Good luck!!Health Question & Answer
