When i take deep breaths my heart rate slows down, is that kinda cheating?!


Question: When i take deep breaths my heart rate slows down, is that kinda cheating.?
Once i finish this step up test i must take my pulse and obvioulsy the lower it is the better. Im glad with my results cuz its says im really fit, but by me taking deep breaths does that mean those results are not accruate.?Health Question & Answer

The oxygen delivered to your heart and all other organs is proportional to the amount of blood flowing (cardiac output). Cardiac output is the amount of blood pumped out per stroke, multiplied by the number of beats per minute, of your heart.
