I am diabetic but it's well controlled unless I get really upset. Then I get really drunk-like and dizzy.?!

Question: I am diabetic but it's well controlled unless I get really upset. Then I get really drunk-like and dizzy..?
After that phase is gone then I get all shaky where I can't even hold anything in my hands and my teeth chatter even. This happened the other day when I was about to get into a fight. I was extremely angry. Mom thought it would be funny to taunt me and get me all worked up. Which is really stupid bc she could have put me in the damn hospital. She doesn't understand the disease and how it feels to have yo-yo-ing sugars. I hvn't been able to take my blood sugar cuz my machine is broken and I'm out of strips. Does it sound like my sugar spiked up really high and then dropped really low.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Give mom a shot of insulin, then stand back as her teeth chatter and she can't cant hold anything and laugh like hell. Just kidding.Health Question & Answer

yes you're sugar can go high and drop low but this is usually because you inject in the same area of your body and then sometimes when you move or rub that area you have injected in then the insulin stored there will be released causing your bs level to drop. I would go and see your diabetic nurse and get a new meter and strips and get your GP to put your strips on repeat perscription for you
Good luckHealth Question & Answer

Sounds like you had a bout with low blood sugar. You need to get a new meter. Walmart has a very inexpensive model that is very reliable and the test strips are cheap, too. It is the ReliOn. You and your mom BOTH need to go some diabetic educational classes and learn about the diseaseHealth Question & Answer
