The best way of getting rid of headlice is to buy a product from a pharmacy ( there are tons! ) its like a shampoo. and also it comes with a special comb to get rid of the eggs.
People usually think having nits means ur an unclean person but nits actually get attracted to clean hair.
(im not telling u to not wash ur hair LOL :)

Just be cautious and make ur mum check your hair and try and keep a distance away from people who might have nits.

Don't freak. Although kinda creepy because they are bugs, they really dont' do any harm. A few drops of Tea Tree oil in your shampoo can be a good deterent.

There are a lot of shampoos on the market if you do get them. Wash all bedding in hot HOT water.Health Question & Answer

Here is what I did, its my own remedy and it worked. My child got it from her friend that spent the night with us. I got some extra virgin coconut oil from the health store, I saturated her head with it, wrapped it in saran wrap and left it on there for an hour each day for 10 days. Of course I used a lice comb as well after each treatment. As far as bed stuff, put your pillows in a garbage bag and tie it off for the whole 10 days (err on the side of caution) lice can't live without a human host for over a few days, and of course take care of those bed linens. vaccuum the bed and the sides. I may have actually done more than what was neccessary, but with all the stories I read on the net I was pretty scared. Alot of them were saying their child had lice for months and months and some years. I was petrified the whole time, this was our only experience with lice, and they are EXTREMELY hard to get rid of!

And by the way, my friend used the drugstore remedy over and over and it did not work, not to mention its pesticides and not good for children!Health Question & Answer
