My right hand gets cold within a few minutes of computer use, and I have almost constant pain in my right shoulder when sitting in most positions.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
No, it doesn't sound like carpal tunnel syndrome.

In carpal tunnel syndrome, the problem is compression of the nerve at the wrist, so the hand supplied by the nerve is affected. The commonest signs include numbness and burning/shooting pain in the hand, especially over the first three fingers and the palm, and weakness of the hand muscles, causing inability to make a fist and dropping things. There should not be coldness, as the blood vessels are not affected.

The shoulder pain can be caused by anything - muscle pain, overuse, arthritis... but we'll need more information to work on that.

The coldness of hand is hard to say - a lot of people have cold hands and feet due to poor circulation, and it is usually normal. However some people may have this due to blocked blood vessels.Health Question & Answer

I think it is when the nerves in your wrist become compressed. Are you experiencing wrist pain.? Your shoulder pain is probably not related, maybe due to posture.Health Question & Answer
