I have had allergy problems, when my nose is clogged I have popping ears and buzzing in my ears, i went to an ent, i had great hearing and they tested my ear drums and everything was fine, i was given nasacort and it does help, but i still have the problem, i really would like to understand the cause this though, I have 3 dogs and a cat, but thye have never been a problem, could it be that it has became a problem.? Does it cause permanent hearing loss.? The doctor said the middle ear problems are what cause hearing loss.? Could you please help.? ThanksHealth Question & Answer

When my nose is clogged up, my ears will do that sometimes, or just be a little painful every so often.
Try decongestants (go to the doctor and get higher doses if the OTC ones dont work).
As for OTC stuff, Tylenol Sinus severe really helps all that for me.
I have a very sensitive nose, and I found out today (years after I was originally told this) that it was causing all of my problems, my sinuses were clear.
If the nasacort is helping, it may not be your sinuses that are irritated. I've got 3 dogs as well, and they've never triggered an episode. For me, its the weather changes (usually from one season to the next).
When your nose is stuffed up, it puts pressure on your ears. Clear up your nose, your ears should be fine :DHealth Question & Answer
