is 100 degrees a high fever.? A friend of mine is on dialysis and he called me up, he's sick. I know that their body temperature usually runs low, so would 100 degree temp for them be like 104 for a person with out kidney failure.? Health Question & Answer

It's bad, that's what it is. He should have his doctor paged and ask if he needs to go to the ER. Fluid levels are critical in dialysis patients and he doesn't want to dehydrate.
I knew a dialysis patient with a fever from a urinary tract infection. This is a gross story, but tell your friend so he doesn't just blow this off. The guy was badly constipated because he was dehydrated, but even when he used an enema nothing came out - not even the fluid from the enema! He needed IV antibiotics and fluids for several days.
