1. Is MEIA an appropriate method for screening HIV Antibodies.?

2. How accurate my results are 8 and half weeks (2 months) after the possible exposure.? and what ratio of people turn positive in that period.?

Answers:
Hi, there.

MEIA is valid HIV screening tool for HIV detection. After two months post exposure, 95% of people who are HIV+ will test positive. Well over 99% test positive by 3 months. In VERY RARE cases of someone with a pre-existing immune condition it can take up to 6 months to test positive.

Good luck.Health Question & Answer
