I have been sick for three days. A couple of days ago i had been getting a ton of muscle aches all up and down my body. On another yahoo-answers page i found out that the symptom's that i had been having match up with mono......soar throat, extreme tiredness, muscle aches, abdominal pains, severe headaches, stomach aches, and i have all of those. i went to the doctors and he is doing a swab test.....but do you think i might be getting mono.? i mean i have been sharing drinks but i don't know!! please help!!Health Question & Answer

Chances are.. no. To be honest there is a stomach bug that is going around that sounds just like the symptoms you are describing. My whole family is sick with it right now and I doubt we all contracted mono :) I have bodyaches and dizziness, a sore throat, extreme tiredness and my stomach is just starting to hurt since I am last to get sick. However, almost everyone in their life contracts mono. Its caused by a common virus that even causes chicken pox. Its really not a big deal, its symptoms aren't even as bad as the common cold. I remember having it at 15 and it was very mild. Feel better soon!

Hmm yes it dose sound like you might have mono, mono shows up two months after it has entered your body, so your just getting sick now. The swab test will tell you if you are or not getting sick with mono. But yes major signs you have/are getting mono are the extreme tiredness and flu like symptoms. But mono isn't that bad I had mono and went to school, you will totally be fine nothing to over worry about.

Hi yeah ok this is me on a different account(love2shop) and my uncle had it when he was exactly my age and had it for 4 months and was on the brush of dying. I have been to the doctor.....the swab was done and i have had pneumonia so my immune system isn't really strong anymore. so do i have a higher chance of getting it.?Health Question & Answer
Relax. Mono is just a virus. Don't stress out. Let it run its course. Drink juice and water. Get lots of sleep. Alternate tylenol and aspirin. Too much tylenol can hurt your spleen and liver which are busy fighting infection right now.Health Question & Answer
If you have been sick for 3 days, why not go to the doctor.? That would be your best chance to find out what is wrong with you.
