Question: Will sleeping fix the symptoms of a cold.?
My symptoms are not bad yet. I am drowsy, head aches, throat is soar. Its is the start to what could be a huge cold. I want to get over my cold by the weekend. I am thinking of calling in and sleeping the rest of the day in hopes that I will feel better and the cold will go away before it gets worse.

I want to call in because I want to get better before I get worse.I tend to push myself though and never call in sick. I am afraid that if I continue to work and not sleep more then my 8 hours it will only get worse.Health Question & Answer

Sleeping will certainly help. I'm one of those people too that second-guesses myself before calling in sick. My husband always tells me, "That's why you have sick days - you're allowed to be sick!" It's better that you try to nip it in the bud now.

I like to think I'm a pro at getting over a cold. First, go buy "Zycam" nasal SWABS....the nasal spray goes too far into the nose and always made me sneeze. (ZYCAM IS ESPECIALLY MEANT AT THE FIST SIGNS OF A COLD...IT WILL SHORTEN IT AND LESSEN THE SYMPTOMS) Next go buy some juice boxes, minute maid, or juicy juice are good ones, just make sure they are 100% juice. Drink 5 or 6 a day, but I woulnd't do that for more than 2 or 3 days. They have 100% daily value vitamin c in each box, which will make you healthier faster.

DO NOT SLEEP TOO MUCH! Actually moving around or walking causes your airways to open and can help with conjestion...i recommend going shopping :)
