If you use hand sanitizer after touching herpes towels, toilets etc... will it kill the virus.? I was cleaning up a client house and washed her clothes, my cousin said that she has herpes. Although I'm not sure how true it is.Health Question & Answer

I actually agree, hand sanitizer isn't that great. The best method you can possibly use is washing your hands.

15-20 seconds with soapy warm water could wash viruses/germs/bacteria right down the drain.Health Question & Answer

Hand washing or hand sanitizer will probably do the trick.
The only kind of herpes I can think of that would be a problem here might be shingles/chicken pox; if the client had shingles, and if you are not immune to chicken pox, you might catch chicken pox because it is highly contagious. I've never heard of anybody getting genital herpes or oral herpes from casual contact, though this is quite possible with chicken pox/shingles.Health Question & Answer

Hand sanatizer is crap. It doesn't get rid of germs at all, it actually cements the germs to your hands. I hate it.

If someone tells you that someone has herpes, that's slander and by repeating it on the internet that's lible and you can be sued.Health Question & Answer

It's best to wash your hands with soap but sanitizer works on mild germs but haven't been said to cleanse herpes and other viruses and such.Health Question & Answer
