I'm sorry about the lack of information you have.
I only know about the aftercare of an adult - for about 6 weeks after returning home there are increased and loose bowel movements, advice is small easily digested meals and plenty to drink.
Poor little soul, he must have some discomfort too following surgical interference. I think I would be lethargic too.
I've searched and searched online, lots about why, how, but nothing on aftercare.
Can't you ask your GP or the practise nurse.? They might have access to some literature. All my text books refer to adults.Health Question & Answer

Having had a similar op I was windy, etc and also very lethargic and depressed after the surgery. I asked about this and was told the anaesthetic depresses the nervous system and can cause tiredness and lethargy. Any invasive surgery is a shock to the system and he will need lots of TLC. The anaesthetic is expelled through urine so lots of drinks to get rid of it quickly.
he will be fine soon.Health Question & Answer
