Normal Sore Throat or Strep?!

Question: Normal Sore Throat or Strep.?
My dad tells me he's had a scratchy throat for 10 days or so.

It's not extremely sore, and he hasn't complained about pain in his throat. He doesn't appear to have fever, and he seems to feel fine.

He coughs often, and his voice sounds a little raspier than usual.

I don't know what he has, but I strongly doubt it is strep throat (like he says it is).

also, my dad is a frequent weed smoker (if that's any help) and he knows I have a phobia of getting sick, so what do you guys think.?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds like a bad cold. Not strep because strep is Extremely painful. If your worried about getting it then you need to take two Vitamins to avoid catching the cold. Take Vitamin c (to prevent catching the cold) and some Vitamin D tablets (which aides in the absorption of the Vit C in your body)Health Question & Answer
