Question: Is septoplasty worth it.?
I'm sooo iffy on following thru with my septoplasty. I also have enlarged turbinates and a concha bullosa (bubble) in my nose. There are times at night that I am very stuffed up. I hear that this surgery has only marginal results and is painful. Is it worth it.?Health Question & Answer

I had resectioning of the turbinates done and I can't believe what a HUGE difference it made! I ended up with allergies the following year, but that was well worth being able to breathe! If you are having that much trouble breathing, I would say GO FOR IT!

Actually, if they do a turbenectomy, chances are ur breathing will improve. Straightnig the septum doesnt make that big a diff. in breathing tho. that parts more for cosmetic reasons. but if ur that suffed up, just do itHealth Question & Answer
