Can you catch the flu if someone close to you is mildly sick with the flu because they received a flu shot? ?!

Question: Can you catch the flu if someone close to you is mildly sick with the flu because they received a flu shot.? .?
I received a flu shot last Friday, knowing that is could make me sick. My throat hurts this morning, but I do not have a fever or anything.

I am supposed to go shopping with a friend tonight but I don't want to risk passing the flu on to her.

Can you spread the flu if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms due to a recent flu shot.? Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You can't catch the flu from the flu shot. The viral material in the shot is completely inactive (i.e., dead). It cannot cause an infection.

You were getting sick before the shot. Getting the shot and getting sick are coincidental.

Any symptoms that are a result of the flu-shot are likely to be mild and last only a day or two. I'm including a website (Center for Disease Control) that has good info on the flu shot.Health Question & Answer

No. The flu vaccine consists of incativated, non-infectious virus. If you get a fever, etc, from the vaccine, it is simply a manifestation of your immune response against the vaccine or one of its components, like chicken albumin (the vaccine is grown in chicken eggs). But since the vaccine is non-infectious, you can't spread anything, because you don't have anything.Health Question & Answer

What.? You dont know if you have the flu until after you are contagious. You are contagious, which means you can pass it on to others, usually about 2-3 days before you see symptoms. Dont worry its just a flu. Flu shots are unhealthy anyways, take vitamin c, eat healthy and dont worry. Getting sick is actually VERY healthy. People who are germ-a-phobics have weak immune systems. It is good to come in contact with some germs and get sick once or twice a year. Any more than that is bad though, that means your immune system is naturally weak which is bad. Dont worry about it though.Health Question & Answer

You can not get the flu from the flu shot. The strains of flu included in the shot are inactive. They are not live viruses. If you do not have the flu, you can not give flu to anyone around you.Health Question & Answer

I dont think you can spread the virus unless you are running fever, plus the flu shots they are given this time is not a live virus it is one that is already dead.Health Question & Answer
