Is this an OCD? Any ideas on how to stop it?!

Question: Is this an OCD.? Any ideas on how to stop it.?
Its kind of difficult to explain, but its like...
If I brush a part of my body (Like my hand or leg) against something, I feel like I have to tap or brush the opposite one. Its really annoying and confusing.

also, when im playing the Sims (This will sound really childish) but if I scroll across one side, I have to tap or scroll across a bit on the opposite side.

One time it got scary though, because I accidentally cut myself with scissors on my hand, and at the back of my mind it kept on bugging me and annoying me until I just finally hurt my other arm on purpose.
Its basically like I need to even things out.

Is this an OCD.? I have no idea... I try to ignore it if this happens but it stays at the back of my mind annoying me! I just want to stop, because I feel stupid and childish when I do it. Are their any techniques to stop.?

Im 13 by the way... I know its not normal, but does this kind of thing occour around my age.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
it does sound like OCD, not a serious case i hope. to catch this and seek treatment at your age may lessen the chance of the condition worsening. OCD is often treated very successfully with medication. it can manifest in people of your age and should be at least considered as reason for a visit to the dr. talk honestly about this with your parents. better to be safe than sorry. i believe many people live with OCD and if it doesn't effect every day functioning they never seek diagnosis or treatment. but just that compulsion you had to hurt yourself is cause for concern. don't ignore it. you are a smart young person, don't let anything keep you from happiness.
