Question: Question about what can increase the heart rate....?

I already suffer from an increased heart rate. Resting being 130+. My question is what could cause the heart to beat so fast.
Do diet pills cause it.? ( I used to take them but not anymore since the Dr, said I have an enlarged right chamber of the heart) Plus Dr said I was a healthy weight.
Water pills.?
I know caffeine does so I have cut down on that a lot.
How does sleep effect the heart rate. Can too little or too much sleep cause it to increase.?
I go for an echocardiogram in the morning and I dont want my pulse to be really fast. Please no rude comments. Thanks for all the help.

I think you should feel your pulse and see whether it is irregular or if it feels regular. Sinus tachycardia (heart rate greater than 100) is treated differently than Atrial fibrillation (which is irregular and is the atrium firing faster than the ventricle. You need to see what your doctor thinks tomorrow. There is no way to slow this down by yourself. You may need to be on a medicine for rate control. Good luck.Health Question & Answer
