Symptoms of Lymph node cancer?!

Question: Symptoms of Lymph node cancer.?
Can anyone tell me what the symptoms are of lymph node cancer.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
ok i know this one... as a cancer survivor (hodgkins which is a lymphnode cancer) i have been there done that... Symptoms can consist of but not excluded to night sweats, pain or discomfort breathing, fatigue, decrease or increase of metabolism, and of course swollen lymphnodes that are not painful.. just kind of there! If you feel that you or someone you know may have this and doctors disagree, get a second opinion. it took six weeks to figure out what was wrong with me.. the doctors just kept saying it was something completely different! Doctors are GREAT! But they do not know your body like you do! They need your help in diagnosing you.Health Question & Answer

Not really, I think different cancers present different symptoms. I say that because my mother has just be diagnosed with cancer of the bowel. What they explained to us was their is a 'grading' system' called Duke's. They grade from A-D.
Grade A is a tumour.
Grade B is a cancer which has affected the Lymph Nodes.
Grade C is a cancer which has affected Lymph Nodes and some tissue - this is my mothers situation. Of the tissue removed 16 of 28 lymph nodes were cancerous. Her tumour has been surgically removed and, once she has built herself up from that surgery she has been told that she will be offered chemotherapy.
Grade D I believe is untreatable and what my partner died of 13 months ago.
If you know the area affected try looking at the cancer backup website. It has lots of information.
You don't say if you are asking out of curiosity or not. But, if you have a lump of a any sort get it checked out..
I had a breast lump once which was not cancerous.Health Question & Answer

I cannot answer your question specifically but I discovered a lump under my right armpit (axilla) last August 08, and over about 2/3 weeks it seemed to grow slightly bigger. GP said it was nothing but 2 weeks later it was still there and he sent me to Ulster Hospital, near Belfast for a check. The consultant took a needle biopsy and was able to state it was cancer.
Now not all lumps under your arm are cancerous - mine was not causing any problem other than annoying, and I had, and still have, no other affects. However I have just finished 15 sessions of Radiotherpy and now require Chemo.
Please get it seen too ASAP as you might not have anything to worry about, but if it is the C then the sooner you get treatment the better.Health Question & Answer
