Question: How long after you finish anti-biotics can you safely drink alcohol.?
I am almost done a prescription of biaxin...will be done on thursday or friday and am going to a party this weekend and would like a drink...anyone know how long it takes for it to filter out of your system.?.?Health Question & Answer

You should not drink alcohol for at least 3 or 4 days after finishing your antibiotics. They will still be in the system and doing their job. Depending on what you are taking, alcohol can decrease the effectiveness of the medication. Better safe than sorry.....Health Question & Answer

I am on antibiotics too, the pharmacist told me no alcohol for 3 days after I'm done. If you do decide to drink, you could get mega sick from it, not that you won't be sick anyway if you get drunk.

24 hours is a good time table but be careful. You will feel a lot more drunk faster and with less alcohol. Take it slow with the drinking.Health Question & Answer
