Question: PLS ANSWER TIS QUES!!! ON HIV/MONO... OMG!!!.?
Hi,
I kissed this guy a mth ago. We deep kissed like 7-10 times. NO SEXUAL CONTACT. I did not have any open sores or bleeding gums. He mite have sucked my lips.
Now, I am down with a 4-day fever & flu, headache, nausea, tiredness, pain in the eyes and I even had phlegm with a little blood.
I noe that it is not a normal cold because I seldom catch all these symptoms.
WOULD U SAY THAT IT WOULD MOST PROBABLY BE MONO SYMPTOMS OR HIV.?.?.? BECAUSE THE SYMPTOMS ARE QUITE SIMILAR.
PLS HELP!!!
THANKS.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
yes, these are absolutely typical influenza symptoms.
if the above exposure is your only concern, then you should know that kissing does not transmit HIV.
get rest and you'll be fine. True influenza is typically a 5 day illness. Colds last 7 days on average, but some people can have symptoms that persist even past 14 days.
there is no reason at all for you to be thinking of HIV nor mononucleosis.Health Question & Answer

Ok my first answer is to talk to a doctor because you may want to start early treatment if a STD is present. STD's affect everyone differently and if you are experiencing abnormal symptoms that dont relate to earlier illnesses you have contracted it may be a more serious condition. Now my personal titch on things: first you should ask the person, then you can gain a scope on the possibilities. If you kissed a person who is in their teens 13 to about 17 it is much more likely (if its an STD) to be mono. generaly speaking HIV does not run around in middle or high school. also HIV symptoms normally dormant for years and takes years to develope and weaken the body.Health Question & Answer
it would most likely be a cold not HIV or monoHealth Question & Answer
