It sounds like tinnitus. Everyone I know has had it at one time or another. For me, it usually occurs when I have a middle ear infection or an upper respiratory infection. It should go away in a few days on its own. If it doesn't, call the Nurse Line if your health insurance company has this service. If not, check w/ your doctor's nurse & see what she says. The doctor may want to see you to rule out an infection, especially if you have a low-grade temperature. He may prescribe ear drops or an antibiotic. The only damage would be if it is an infection & gets worse, you could have a slight diminishing in your hearing.Health Question & Answer
It's called Tinnitus.
Tinnitus is a result of the brain attempting to "rewire" itself when the ear has become damaged..
It happens to everyone and is completley normal.
I wouldn't worry bout it.Health Question & Answer
