Where can I learn more about celiac disease and gluten-free diet?!

Question: Where can I learn more about celiac disease and gluten-free diet.?
Celiac disease runs in my family, and even though I seem to lack classical symptoms, I've recently learned that most people diagnosed with celiac disease show no symptoms. I've begun to look at a gluten free diet.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Try Celiac.com at http://www.glutenfreemall.com/. I have dermititis herpetiformis, which, like celiac disease requires a gluten-free diet to control. I use that site all the time. They have good articles and even support groups. You can also get gluten-free food at glutenfreemall.com (http://www.glutenfreemall.com/). I even got some gluten free corn dogs and pizza recently! Otherwise, try celiac.org and also WebMd, as the previous answer said.Health Question & Answer

I think Peter meant to link to celiac.com (http://www.celiac.com/) instead of glutenfreemall. They are both good sites, but Celiac.com is the place for information. They've been around since the early days and helped me greatly. It's true that most people diagnosed don't show symptoms, though plenty do. If you do have asymptomatic celiac disease, you could be causing damage to you intestinal tract. It's easily treated with a gluten-free diet, which has advantages, such as very little processed food, and generally healthier diet overall. also, Jefferson can learn more about celiac disease at the Mayo Clinic site: www.mayoclinic.com/health/celiac-disease and also at MedicineNet: www.medicinenet.com. Lastly, the National Institute of Medicine: www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/celiacdiseas...Health Question & Answer
