How long does the AIDS virus live in a sharp's container?!
Question: How long does the AIDS virus live in a sharp's container.?
My friend was stuck with a needle while helping another friend's husband at home. He is 65 years old, and a stroke and diabetic patient. My friend was helping dispose of some old home sharps containers (like 1 to 2 months old) and a needle fell out and stuck her in her thumb.
I'm wanting to know how likely it is that my friend could get anything from a needle this old. She has had Hep B vaccine.
Thanks for any constructive help in advance. :DHealth Question & Answer
