Answers:
I had panic disorder about a year and a half ago. I'm feeling much better after therapy, but I know how hard it can be. I'm pretty sure my doctor told me that the average person gets less than five in their lifetime, although I might be remembering wrong... I know it was a small number though. When I had panic disorder, I had over a hundred in a span of six months... granted, most of those were mild, but still. It's a serious thing. I hope you're getting help for it, and best of luck with feeling better :)Health Question & Answer

A person without an anxiety disorder typically does not ever get an anxiety attack unless they get into a situation where there is something scary going on, or unless they are reacting to a drug or too much caffeine. A person has an anxiety disorder when they react to a situation that has no reason to cause them to worry or be frightened. Its normal to have a panic attack in a dangerous situation - like if a creepy person tries to follow you home. Its not normal to have a panic attack because you suddenly realize you are closed into a room or that its too dark to tell where you are.

No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.

The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to....
