I have a cold sore that is starting to heal but then right next to it i just got another one.
Someone told me that if you put salt on it it will help, it will dry it out and clean it.? I know it will hurt but i just want to get rid of them.
This may be a dumb question, but i just really want to get rid of them, and right now im in a different country and i went to the pharmacy and they didnt have any medicine for it, so i can go buy any....

I used to use pills and drugs to cure my cold sores, but I found out they're completely unnecessary. Here's what I do now, and I guarantee it will get rid of your new cold sore.
Apply an ice cube to the sore for 15 minutes, and do this every 4 hours. It will be hard, but just do it!
When you aren't applying an ice cube, keep the area COMPLETELY dry. Don't lick it, don't moisten it, don't do any of that!
This will get rid of the sore very fast. Mine typically only last about two days if I follow this routine. If you want to go an extra step, eat lots of yogurt -- this is one of the best foods for balancing the acidity in your body and reducing cold sore inflammation.

try peroxide to clean out the bacteria salt will burn like heck.also it helps to put ice on it.Health Question & Answer
