If there is blood in your poop, I would err on the side of caution and see a doctor. That said do you eat lots of cheese, like in PIzza. Cheese tends to make the stool hard. (Stool is the posh medical word for poop). If the poop is very hard it can tear at the lining of the anus and release blood upon discharge. also if the process of bowel movement causes much straining as a result blood vessels lining the anus can rupture releasing blood.

Occult blood in the poop can be a serious problem like colon cancer due to polyps in the colon or it can be something far less serious and easily treated with diet change or medication. Your doctor is the best source for these answers. If you are really worried the best answer is ask your doctor for a flexible colonosophy. Its a rather uncomfortable procedure that requires a long flexible tube be inserted into the anus. A small light and camera delivers real time pictures so the doctor can check for cancerous growths and or other abnormalities. This is the gold standard for finding out if anything is wrong with your colon. Your doctor is best suited to advise if this course of action is in your best interests.
