If I were you, I would see my family physician.

I only perspire and particularly around the back of my neck if I have something internal going on. Last time was right before my gall bladder surgery.

It also occurs when I am physically worn out.

I, too, sleep in a cold environment. I always take the dampness as a sign to review my past few days. I have several food..not allergies, but resistance problems that cause intestinal distress. Or during rush times at work which create a need to traverse the campus multiple times a day and I am worn out.

Night sweats can be caused by many things. Classic symptoms are waking up out of a sleep drenched so bad you must change your pajama's and sometimes the sheets under you.
It can be caused by infection, hormones, anxiety, or any number of things.
If you have no other symptoms, I dont think I would worry about it. If its accompanied by things such as excessive thirst, weakness, shortness of breath, fever, pain or any other symptoms, you may want to go to your doctor and get checked out.
I have nite sweats about once every couple weeks because I am going menopausal and my hormones are playing with me. Health Question & Answer
