Heart aches from dehydration? 4 Part question HELP!!?!

Question: Heart aches from dehydration.? 4 Part question HELP!!.?
so the other day i was laying down and my heart started beating faster and i felt like i wasnt getting to much air into my system i thought maybe it was an anxiety attack but i havent been stressing about anything. i thought about it and i have been extremely active and i havent been drinking any water. also when running lately my legs have been feeling heavy. so i drank alot of water and its been two days now. i feel like im going crazy but i feel like i notice my heart beat alot more now. like its beating harder and also i get these aches in my chest still(like a deep tightening feeling) randomly. my lips are also still dry and not hydrated yet so im wondering 1. do you think my heart aches are from dehydration or something else.? 2. am i still dehydrated.? 3. is it normal to have chest aches even after you get hydrated.? 4. when should i start sports again.?Health Question & Answer

I have had major hydration issues and have been hospitalized numerous times for it ( mine is caused by a medical issue not pertinent to this discussion). The difference in the way you feel in comparing hydrated vs. dehydrated is nothing short of amazing. Funny thing is the more dehydrated you become the less thirsty you are so, do not use thirst as an indicator of your fluid needs at this time.Doctors can do a quickie test to see if you have enough fluid by pinching skin and seeing the suppleness. There is a more complete blood test. If you are dehydrated it effects so much. Your system will not be able to get rid of toxins correctly.First your electrolytes will be out of balance These include sodium (salt), potassium ( for muscles) and calcium (also effects muscles) Some indications of dehydration are dry mouth, less than normal urination, and because urine is concentrated it will be more yellow. In more severe cases it will effect your muscels(. As a result you will have cramps and possibly involuntary spasms. You may feel light headed and dizzy even have headaches. As your blood thickens it becomes more difficult for your heart to pump and push it through your veins. So, your heart is working much harder than it should.Perhaps this is what you felt. Do not exercise during this time. It will stress your system out too much and the sweating will only dehydrate you more.Drink, drink, drink. Alternate gatorade and water. The gatorade will replace electrolytes. Try to stay cool so you do not perspire and defeat what you are doing. When your urine starts to become almost clear it is an indicator that you are catching up. Don't stop then. Continue drinking excessive fluids for the next day or two. By then you should be back to your old self. If for some reason this doesn't work for you go to an ER and have them give you some IV fluids In general, increase your fluid intake so this does not occur again. It is too hard on your system and if you get sick during this time (like the flu) it will make it that much worse.BTW heaviness in your limbs is another sign. If your heart continues to have any unusal issues, see the Dr. It may be nothing but don't risk it.Health Question & Answer

Eat nothing but fruits, vegetables, and drink juices for 2 days. That's good for you no matter what, but it will also help to flush your body out. If you have a buildup of toxins, or eat a lot of sodium, your potassium can get too low and cause your heart to do all kinds of funky things.

If nothing else, start drinking 2 V8 Low Sodium (these are SUPER high in potassium) drinks a day. Bananas and nuts also have tons of potassium., And cut back on the salt (ie fast foot)Health Question & Answer

Yes dehydration does make your heart beat faster and harder, you will notice it more when you stand up, walk up a hill, walk up steps, or even believe it or not streching. Once you are dehydrated you need to drink a TON of water to re hydrate your self. You are noticing your heart beat more now bcuz you have become aware of it. Hearts are a muscle and just like any other muscle they can twitch. If you noticed your arm was twitching would you care.?.?.? Prob not but bcuz its your heart you are going to worry more and thats normal just dont obsess about it. Drink lots of water and stay active. If the chest pains continue contact your dr and get a golter monitor put on goog luck :)Health Question & Answer

i know this!!!
these are symptoms of tachycardia!!! yes it can be caused by dehydration, and yes the quick heart beating and chest aches are only a part of it! this is very easy to get over. u may need some medicine, but i think that they can shock ur heart or something to make it beat normally again. go to a doctor or ur trainer (pe teacher, gym trainer, watever) and ask them wat to do. to avoid this in the future, i would drink a bit b4 an exersize and then exersize for about 3-5 minutes. ur b ody then naturally asks for more water (that feeling of mucus in ur throut) drink! dont just ignore it
after that u should be able to work for hours! make sure to drink room temperature water every 30-60 min!!!Health Question & Answer
