You can not get the flu from the flu shot (no matter what anyone else says), because the flu shot does not contain live virus. However, some people experience mild cold symptoms or body aches and soreness at the injection site.

You can get mild flu-like symptoms from the shot, because it's the actual virus that they're injecting into you, for the purpose of developing immunity to it- thus not catching it. I don't bother with flu shots, because there are so many different strands of flu anyway along with colds, stomach viruses, all kinds of contagious illnesses that the shot won't cover.

I'm forced to take that or the flu mist that goes up your nose. Last year I started getting sick the next day and had a bad cough for at least 3 months from taking it. This year I got a little scratchy in the throat, but didn't get the cough. Flu shots are bad, just get all your vitamins and nutrients and drink a lot of water.Health Question & Answer
