Hopefully you're on an antibiotic if you feel that you have a UTI.

If you have fever, chills, back pain, nausea/vomiting, or any more blood in your urine, you need to be evaluated sooner rather than later to rule out a kidney infection.
If you are taking any over-the-counter medicines for UTI's...be careful as they can sometimes tint your urine color.

I wouldn't get too worried about the bloodstreak, but I would be attentive to any new symptoms that arise in case in develops into something more.
Drink lots of water and get better soon!Health Question & Answer

Nothing to worry about. I was to my Dr last week getting checked for a UTI and she told me you can even have streaks of blood if the UTI doesn't get treatment. You need antibiotics to completely clear up a UTI and they burn and your urine can get cloudy and dark yellow. Drink lots of water and she told me to drink cranberry juice to prevent UTI's. I had a hysterectomy 26 years ago so seeing blood there would scare me. I was glad she explained a UTI can cause you to see blood. You need to go get medication for your UTI.Health Question & Answer

That is totally normal with a UTI. But you must go to the doctor and get an antibiotic. Make sure you drink real cranberry juice, not cocktail and drink lots of water and no sodas. Take some Ibuprofen for the pain. The doctor will also give you another kind of medicine for the pain and burning while the antibiotic is kicking in.Health Question & Answer
