Kidney pain - pain on right side?!

Question: Kidney pain - pain on right side.?
For about a week, I've been experiencing pain on my (middle) right side, just above my rib cage. It's not a feeling of a bone hurting, it's internal pain. I have a 'bad kidney' on that side, my doctor's have told me. It's scarred, and does not function as good as my left kidney. Usually I get pain on my left side, but this time it's my right. It doesn't get worse or better, just feels as if someone's jabbing me.
It couldn't be an infection or anything, due to I'm on a antibiotic for something else.
What could it be.? Or sound like.? I do not like going to the hospital and waiting 5 hours to find a diagnosis. And, it's hard getting into my doctor, being far away and no insurance.

Thanks.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
i had experienced similar pain at one time.could possibly have something to do with the gallbladder and blood serum.elavated albumin levels on blood tests can indicate some sort of stone blockage in ducts of gallbladder or kidneys.i drank as much pure apple juice as i could handle for a week, which should break down any stones with the acid content in the juice(1 litre or more per day).the pain went away in four days and hasent returned for months.my albumin levels dropped from 62 to 30 in one month!Health Question & Answer

Hopefully it wont be a kidney stone...because if it is, believe me you rather prefer a labor pain, go back to the hospital...it is better to wait 5 hours than being rush to the hospital with a pain that is more acute than any pain you have experience before, I swear.Health Question & Answer
