i have been having this really strange this happen to me. mostly on weekends. Ill be out doing something with a friend and then suddenly i wont feel well. I begin to get a 'sour stomach" and i feel like im going to have gas, and diarrhea, but i try to hold it in since im doing something with my friends. this feeling will go on 5-10 minutes. then it will disappear! after another 5-10 minutes it will reappear. Its strange and so inconvenient. .......when i had this last night i took some tums and felt a little better but 20 minutes later when i went home i rushed to the bathroom. please help! thank you. Answers:
It could be just a stomach virus,which should pass in a few days; if so,just drink lots of fluids and get some rest. But if this is long term, it could possibly be Irritable bowel syndrome or Inflammatory bowel disease. Both affect the intestines and can cause what you are explaining. I don't know why this would only happen on weekends; maybe you are eating differently or more, or drinking alcohol.? How often other than weekends does it happen.? also, does this happen shortly after meals.? Is this happening every day.? Is it worse with certain foods.? Are you having cramping with this.? Are you losing weight.? Is it alternating with constipation.? What is happening with you otherwise when this is not how you are feeling; do you go to the bathroom normally.? And how long has this been going on.?
These are all things to think about and keep track of; then, I would see an MD if this all continues and see if he or she thinks that testing should be done to see if any of the above is going on.Health Question & Answer
