Bloody stools= danger?!

Question: Bloody stools= danger.?
Hey I'm 13 and something is starting to concern me a little bit. This doesn't happen every time I poop, but sometimes it stings and theres either blood on the poop, in the toilet, or on the TP. I don't know what this is, could it be serious, it would be really embarrassing to talk about it with my parents...Health Question & Answer

Eat more fiber and fruits & vegetables and drink more water - it sounds like you are constipated and have dry hard stools that are irritating your "tissues" when you go, causing bleeding. I bet you'll find this happens when you have more breads & junk food in your diet and less when you are eating more healthily. Health Question & Answer

If you have hard stools they may be causing just a little bit of tearing. Nothing to concern yourself about if it is a small amount and bright red. If it bothers you, consider more fiber or a consult your doc about a stool softener.Health Question & Answer

Sweetie, you need to tell your parents about this, and see a doctor. Something is bleeding in your lower bowels, probably just little tares form being constipated, but it needs to be checked out. Health Question & Answer

If you are too embarrassed to talk with your parents, then you should make an appointment with your doctor. It can be something very simple like fissures or something like that.Health Question & Answer
