Why won't my ear stop ringing?!

Question: Why won't my ear stop ringing.?
It's driving me crazy. Now, you might think I'm crazy... but it gets a little louder when I take a step. And it might stop if I'm turned a certain way. But I can't be imagining it... because it goes against my expectations. I thought it must be something in the room I was in, so I started facing all different directions. It stopped when I was facing one direction... but then I moved laterally and started turning again, and it would ring when I was facing the direction I had been when it wasn't ringing before. It's been doing this for the past 20 minutes, and only in my left ear.

I have a long history of ear/nose/throat problems... tonsillitis, sinus infections, ear infections, ruptured eardrums, TMJ (not exactly a throat problem but I've heard it can be related to ear problems).
But recently, I haven't had any problems. No ear infections or hearing loss... the only thing is an infection from a piercing on my right ear, and a hard lump behind it which might be mastoiditis, I have to see an ENT about that...
I'm pretty sure I don't have aspirin poisoning, as I haven't had aspirin in a while and I don't have any of the other symptoms. I am taking an antibiotic for my infection, but I take one a day, as instructed...

I am going to clean out my ears and see if that's the problem, but I kinda doubt it... What else could this be.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Might be Tinnitus or Menier's Syndrome. They are similar.

Basically the space between the eardrum and a close vein closes up and the noise is caused by the blood flow against the eardrum. Your hearing amplifies the noise. By moving your head the contact can change causing the effect you describe.

It may be possible that minor surgery could solve your problem but this is something you need to discuss this with your specialist.
