Question: Is better to try a push through an illness.?
I have been sick for a little over a week...I want to resume working out but I feel a little tired. Is better to push through it rather than sit around.? Would that give me more energy.?Health Question & Answer

I don't want you to push yourself back into a relapse. Take it easy and in another week or so, start slowly. It was already suggested that you take walks. A VERY good idea. Start with 15-20 minute walks. If you tolerate this, gradually increase the time and speed. You should be able to resume your workouts in about 2 weeks as long as you feel up to it.Health Question & Answer

Give yourself a chance to get your strength back, before heading out to work. Why not take a few days to work out at home, or take walks. Some of the "tired" feeling could be from just not being active for a week. Health Question & Answer

it depends on what kind of sickness you have, what your age is and what physical condition you are in. if you don't feel well do not push yourself, your body needs at least 1 week of rest when sick (i.e.influenza)-blureyHealth Question & Answer
