I had tests with a similar level and I was very very sick.

However, I had some doctors tell me that it was not high enough. Some doctors oddly want cortisol levels of 2x or even 3x the stated high end of the range - letting the tests do the diagnosing instead of the doctor. I had to see over 10 doctors before I finally got one to help me. By then, it was too late for me. Now I am disabled for the damage done.

In reality, the level of the test does not correspond with symptoms or even the damage being done. I have had friends with super high tests who had few symptoms and recovered well, and then those like me with borderline tests and had symptoms galore and my body was very damaged.

Make sure you get copies of everything (which is looks like you are doing!) and read up on it all. It also helps to read up on how the tests are done as lab error makes for a lot of issues. ACTH, renin and even the urine tests get mis-handled and when you are judged on test results that are wrong, well, it does not go well.

I had cylical pituitary Cushing's. It took me 12 years to get diagnosed. It is a real learning experience. Make sure you are with an expert - most endos treat thyroid and diabetes and have no idea how to treat Cushing's at all. They think the dex suppression is a test of exclusion. Really it shows source. Get all your hormones checked too - cortisol messes with everything as well as vitamins and minerals. You need to test a lot to figure out source and do not give up.Health Question & Answer
