Heart Palpitations, what must I do?!

Question: Heart Palpitations, what must I do.?
Ive had 3 ekg, and a 24 hour heart monitor, and a chest x-ray, and blood test ran, all has came out perfect, doc says nothing wrong with my heart, that it looked and sounded strong. My question is, I have these palpitations, they skip, flutter, or beat fast, I don't get dizzy or light headed, but I do get a tingling feeling, and then i wanna worry about it. The doc says I cant die from it, but is there a way to make them go away naturally, or must I resort to drugs, and if so what kind of drugs helps the most WITHOUT side effects.? And they seem to happen more when im about to start my menstrual period, which I get sometimes, like once every 2 or 3 months (cysts). Oh and im 26 yrs old female, and overweight (which im working on)Health Question & Answer

Rest assured, you are having anxiety and nothing else. Just relax. You will this way control your weight and be all right. If you keep on thinking again and again this will not help. Just have good sleep, eat fruits and nutritious food, and start telling yourself loud and clear - " I AM PERFECTLY WELL AND I AM ALRIGHT"- and you will regain your confidence and courage.

As for medication, propranolol [ 5 mg ] once a day and alprazolam [0.25 mg] at bedtime orally will do good to you but you must first consult your doctor.Health Question & Answer

Try not to think about them (you will focus on them and they feel worse), get lots of sleep, ask your dr about anxiety meds and cut down on caffeine (which is a major cause of them!) On a couple of occasions I have had them really badly-in a time of strees they were happening every couple of minutes. That went on for a month or two.Health Question & Answer
