My daughter just got scripts for her Asthma and a sinus infection. The prednisone was 20mg(2) x 5 days. This would be 80mg QD x 5 days. Does this sound right. My daughter is 110 pounds,Health Question & Answer

The way you wrote it, that is only 40mg not 80mg. If she is taking two pills of 20mg for five days. And yes that does sound right. Its to give her a blast to help open her airway. She might be "crabbier" than normal due to the medication. That is a side effect. If she is a diabetic her sugar levels will be elevated. also depending where she is on her cycle (if she has them) she might start spotting. Just some extra FYI.
