Does this sound like spine cancer?!

Question: Does this sound like spine cancer.?
Hi,
For the last four years I have been having sharp pains in and around my chest, shoulder and upper back on and off, all on the left side I might add. It mainly comes on when I am lying on my left side, but turning over onto my right normally stops the pain.
Just recently the pain in my upper back has been really sharp. I have head to get out of bed a few times just to make it stop. I find if I walk around or for 2 mins it goes, but as soon as I go back to bed it starts again.
I've been to the doctors 5 times with this over the past four years and I'm worried I have a tumor. I have had some heart tests done and I've had blood tests and an x-ray also. I have searched the internet and it seems alot of people have this type of pain when lying on their left side.
I'm just really worried I have spine or bone cnacer as the pain is so sharp it could not be anything else. I feel fine in my self and I'm eating all the time but I just cant see any other explnation for this kind of pain.

You put stress on your heart by laying on your left side. also you may just need to do something as little as switching to a better mattress. Even try using body pillows to relieve the stress. Another thing you might try is get an easy chair that you can lay back in and try sleeping there and see if it's better. Are you over weight.? You mention that it goes away when you walk a bit. No, I don't think that it's cancer by the sound of it. Even the blood tests would have showed up something. Do you have stress in your life.? I had such debilitating pain like you are saying, but not necessarily at night. It was stress and depression and it affected my upper back and chest. I'm not saying that it is, but it certainly could be. Even going to the chiropractor might be an option or massage therapist. If you have had xrays I assume they have ruled out any bone spurrs or herniated disks.Health Question & Answer

After 4 years you can kind of figure it's not cancer.
As the above person said, it's probably a disc. Go see an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in backs.Health Question & Answer

it could possibly be a bulging disc.
