I've seen a dentist, chiropractor, and a surgeon..
The dentist's xray shows that my jaw is not aligned
The chiropractor tried to pop it in place and it didn't work
The surgeon told me there was nothing he could do
I'm not sure what's wrong with my jaw
Why it's like this
And how I can fix it

Talk to your dentist and tell him you want to talk to a TMJ specialist.. I live in Baton Rouge and we have >3 tmj specialists here.. Baton Rouge isn't even that big of a city! Expect to pay a lot of money to fix this problem.. The tmj specialist will likely make you a bite splint to try to stabilize your bite and realign your jaw.. This will cost ~2000$.. After that, he may suggest braces, equilibration, perhaps bridges to replace missing teeth, etc.. Make sure that you work with someone you are comfortable with and like.. It sounds like it is dislocated and a decent M..D.. can pop it back into place..
