No, you just feel discomfort for like a second. However when I got a crown put in, I was given a shot twice on my top gums, and the 2nd shot seem to hurt more. I think fillings are different though.Health Question & Answer
its not painfull as such,although you do feel a little scratch.what i find more stressing is the feeling of your gums filling with the fluid :S then the ache when it wears off.

3 it is just okward (spelling.?) Make sure your not allegic to benzocaine, you can feel some anxiety and heart palpatations...not saying you will but just FYIHealth Question & Answer
