If the root is still there you probably had a crown build up done. That means to imitate the natural tooth structure. The price is really depend on the area you live in. But it is reasonable price.
Now, if you had an implant done the price you paid is really, and I mean really low.

By a post and a crown do you mean a tooth implant.? If that's what it was you got a good deal, insurance must have paid for part of it. I don't think dentists try to cheat people.Health Question & Answer
