The mouth and body have natural healing properties so they will not dissolve sooner than the time is right for them to. You may not even notice or you may find a piece stuck, I had a piece that seemed stuck or caught in the gums until I ate something I had to chew and put it on that spot and it got in the food item and I ate it without knowing. No ill effects from that, it just dissolves in your system if that happens.
When you don't pay attention to this it'll happen as needed and you'll do fine. The gums continue to seal up on their own if needed then.
I wouldn't check it often, if you don't taste blood you are doing fine.Health Question & Answer

if you don't do anything to irritate them they will be fine and should be gone in 7-10 days. when i had my wisdom tooth out a few months ago about half the stitches came out while i was eating and the other half dissolved. as long as it doesn't bleed you have nothing to worry about.Health Question & Answer
They usually dissolve in about ten days. As they do, you may find little pieces of them in your mouth sometimes. Nothing to be alarmed about.
