i myself have had braces and i wont lie it will hurt but i've got good news...you remember how bad it hurt when they were first put on.? the pain of taking them off is not even half as bad and it doesn't last as long eitherHealth Question & Answer
When I got mine removed back when i was 17, they literally use pliers to take them off. Its not scary. Its so wierd when they take them off cause your lips are right against your teeth.. hehe.. they should also smooth off any excess glue too.. make sure they do before you walk out, i had a lil piece they didnt smooth down and it irratated me for ages. Dont worry about it... its an exciting time to get them removed!!! Show off your beautiful smile!!!Health Question & Answer
