gum just mask the odors,
this could mean two things.
1 she doesnt brush with toothpaste or
2 she has halitosis.
just ask her in private about her breath and see if its a halitosis condition or if she really thinks no one notices.

Sounds like she probably needs a cleaning and check up. She may have a lot of tartar build up or decayed teeth. Depends on how comfortable you are with her.
